Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had a transvaginal ultrasound and I have a intramural fundal leiomyoma. I just had a lumpectomy for invasive breast cancer and tested positive for mutation in NBN gene at higher risk for ovarian and breast cancer. Should I be concerned with the ultrasound finding?
Intramural fundal leiomyoma is a "good tumour" (while cancer is "bad tumour") derived from smooth (nonstriated) muscle of uterus. It's need just a surgical procedure to remove it, so nothing to worry about it.
Wish you good health and a happy life!
