Hi my name is jane im 37 years old and i have my xray result today. And according to the results, its stated that " suspicious right upper lobe densities, suggest apicolordotic view. Heart is normal size. Mediastinal are normal. Diaphragm and bony thorax are unremarkable". My question is what is the meaning of this remarks. Especially the first one. Thanks.
There is suspicious densities in right upper lung,so you are advised apicolordotic view.It is important to rule out infective etiology. Apicolordotic view is a special view of chest X-ray to visualize apical region of lungs. This view is necessary because apical region is covered by bony ribs, clavicle etc.Normal chest X-ray (PA)can miss the findings,so you are advised for this view. Proper treatment depend upon findings.
Other findings like mediastinum, bony thorax, diaphragm, heart size appears normal.
