What Does this Transvaginal ultrasound Result Mean?

Hi just want a clear explanation of my transvaginal ultrasound. Quite confused of the results of my 3 transvaginal ulatrasound. First Ultraosund was last Nov. 12 at 6weeks and 5days no heartbeat with yolk sac 8.0mm. Second ultrasound after a week for 2nd opinion. With yolk sac but with no embryo seen yet at 6 weeks and 1 day with sch at 2.86ml with cervix measuring 3.26cm. Third ultrasound says Significant sch at 4.81ml with cervix measuring 2.75 cm. Yolk sac measures 0.25 cm with embryo of 0.21cm at 5weeks and 5days exhibiting no fetal heart tone yet. Why is it that it differs in the weeks of my baby. Im into 2 weeks spotting now. May will this result to miscarriage?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the ultrasound reports it is stating that pregnancy has not been progressing as it should have been normally.

Moreover, since you are experiencing spotting, it is an indication that pregnancy would not progress and would certainly result in miscarriage.

Kindly consult Obstetrician for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
