What does it mean - bilateral fallopian tubes are opacified & No evidence of Peritoneal Spill Bilateral. Tests done: Hysterosalpingogram performed with water soluble contrast medium. 2.uterine cavity is normal size and opacification. 3.Bilateral Fallopian tubes are opacified. 4.How ever no evidence of peritoneal spill bilateral
Dear member, Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. The test mentioned is done in infertility to check for the tube patency. If both tubes have the dye instilled as seen on xray but no spilling then it is possible that they are blocked. But I have noticed in lot of my clinic patients with similar complaints that at laparoscopy not all patients have blocked tubes. I recommend that you undergo laparoscopy. thanks Dr Bhagyashree
