Hi, My wife is 38W2D. Had a scan with the below results:BPD: 90mmHC: 319mmAC: 324mmFL: 69MMHL: 58mmOOD: 58MMDoctor informed that the baby might be short. Wife is 5'1"& I am 5'8". This has sort of got my wife worried... Is this correct that the baby will be short. What does the FL actually mean.
Thaanks for your question onHCM. This is report of foetal ultrasound. There are certain parameters which help in determining various aspects of foetus like head circumference is useful in brain development, FL (Femur Length) is useful in determining length of baby etc. FL is femur length. Femur is long bone of thigh and its length can be corellated with overall length of baby. So FL is known as indicator of foetal length. Since you both are short, its likely to jave such FL. No need to worry at all. Its normal and genetic thing.
