What Does MRI Report Small Arachnoid Cyst Indicate?

recent MRI indicates "incidental small arachnoid cyst and chronic micovessel ischemic change" have been having headaches 24/7 for 4 months. at this point they are saying these recent findings have nothing to do with the headaches. is that likely to be true?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

An arachnoid cyst is a small fluid filled balloon like structure and is completely harmless if nothing else has been mentioned aout it. Microvessel ischemia is small areas of deficient blood supply to certain areas of the brain which might have happened long back. Both these conditions are not serious and do not cause any significant clinical symptoms in most patients.
