What Does Plasma Cellular Chronic Endometritis Or Granulomas Not Seen In Examined Material Indicate?
Hi
I am 29 year old.
i have gone for enodmetrial biopsy, below are its details
Specimen Type: Endometrial Biposy
Clinical Data: Endometrial polyp
Gross Description: Multiple grey white bits measuring 1.3 * 0.8 * 0.8 cm (ETP)
Microscopic Examination & opinion:
Endometrium -
1) Late secretory, predecidualized, morophologically cycle day 25/26
2) Plasmacelular chronic endometritis or granulomas not seen in examined material.
But there is one report
PCR FOR KOCH's (A)
Test: AURO-TB-PCR-1
Sample: Endometrial Biposy
Result: Positive
Now i am confused that whether TB is there in my uterus or not? Because i got it checked from some where else but that report revealed that the immunopathological evaluation revealed the absence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Two investigations have been performed. First investigation biopsy showed presence of chronic inflammation in the endometrium. The second investigation- PCR showed presence of tubercular infection.
PCR is more sensitive test for detecting tuberculosis infection. Thus, you are suffering from endometrial tuberculosis. Anti-tubercular infection is required to treat the infection. Consult your gynecologist for further management.
Thanks and take care DR Shailja P Wahal
