What Does Severe Degenerative Disc Disease With Broad-based Posterior Disc Mean?

C3-C4: Severe degenerative disc disease with broad-based posterior disc osteophyte complex which abuts the cervical spinal cord and causes mild spinal stenosis, decreasing the anterior-posterior diameter of the thecal sac to 7mm. What is the normal or ususal mm of this?

hi
the normal cervical spinal canal transverse diameter is about 17mm, so the mentioned report means that there is spinal canal stenosis caused by the bulge of the disc, but the most important thing in this issue, we have to know if the disc affecting or compressing the cord or not also if the disc bulge is encroching upon the neural exit foramina or not, to evaluate its severity and the needed suitable management.
