Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
The result mean that you had
rubella infection in the past. Rubella is a virus similar to the
measles virus and toxoplasma is a parasite transmitted from animals mostly cats. All the above tested organism cause an
abortion or anomalies in the baby if the infection is active. An IgM means and active infection whereas and
IgG means an old infection not active.
Your toxoplasma Ig M is equivocal, means that it is not clear if the infection is active or not. In this case a repeat test after 2-7 days will be helpful.
So just get a repeat test done. Meanwhile if Ig M titres are more than 3 then keep a watch on the baby and get an anomaly scan done at 20 weeks to rule out any anomalies. Your doctor will guide you about this. Also drugs like
spiramycin may be needed in case of active infection.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
