What Does US Stating Resolution Of Nodule In Right Lobe Of Thyroid Possibly Representing Involution Of Adenoma Mean?
I just had a thyroid ultrasound done and the wording states interval resolution of a sizable nodule in the right lobe of the thyroid with only a small residual hypoechoic nodule seen this may represent involution of an adenoma. I dont understand what this means.
There must have been a larger benign tumoradenoma that is showing reduction in size in the present ultrasound scan. This is a good sign for you as the adenoma is resolving and probably responding to any treatment that you are taking. Your doctor may ask you to get thyroid hormones tested to exactly know the treatment status of your condition.
