hi dr, i have my obstetrical usg ( anomaly scan) yesterday @ 37 weeks of pregnency AFI IS 9.10 AND BIOPHYSCAL PROFILE IS 9 OUT OF 12 ultrasound also report fetal right kidney shows mild dialtation of its pelvicalyceal system. major clayces 3mm and pelvis (14mm-----AP dimension)......needs postnatal follow up. please explain the clinical finding
Your baby is showing normal activity at 37 weeks. The amount of amniotic fluid is normal. There is slight bulging of the right kidney. This does not pose any immediate concern to the delivery of the child. However it must be re evaluated once the baby is born for potential mild obstruction in the urinary system. It may also be that there is no problem and this is a variation of normal appearance.
