A positive ANA test suggests presence of some
connective tissue disease.
There are many connective tissue diseases which lead to positive ANA test.
Majority of connective tissue diseases are characterised by weakness and
fatigue.
Swollen joints suggest involvement of joints.
Joints are involved in many connective tissue disorders.
Further blood tests are required to diagnose the particular connective tissue disorder.
Connective tissue disorders include
rheumatoid arthritis, mixed connective tissue disorder, Sjogren's disease,
Scleroderma, etc.
You need to consult a rhematologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus treatment.
