What Does A CT Scan Report Showing Mild Pleural Thickening With Subpleural Fibrosis In Bilateral Apical Regions Indicate?
Hi., Iam rajesh from india last week i went to medical test they spotted some issues. they told me to take CT Scan result was 1. Mild pleural thickening with subpleural fibrosis in bilateral apical regions. 2. Few small subpleural blebs in bilateral apical zones its make any issues
Pleuroparanchymal changes (mild pleural thickening, mild subpleural strips and blebs etc.) in both lung apex is a common thing on thorax ct. Also a few subpleural plebs in apex and other parts of the lungs are common. They don't indicate a serious patology as long as they are mild and there is no additional finding. If you have a respiratory complaints a control thorax ct after a year may be considered. Otherwise these findings doesn't require an additional study.
If you smoke, I suggest you to quit, so general aging process of your lungs slows down.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
