What Does A CT Scan Reveals About A Scaphoid Fracture?

My son had an x-ray on Wednesday which showed that his scaphoid fracture after ORIF surgery had healed. He then was sent for a CT scan to make sure it had healed. Today we found out the CT scan showed not complete healing. We haven t had a chance to talk to the doctor. What could the CT scan have revealed?

Hello,

If it is a fracture gap in CT or sclerosis or malunion may cause incomplete healing.

You have to post a complete scan report to conclude what is the reason for not healing.

Please consult your orthopedician with scan report or post full scan report then will examine and guide you in a correct way.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
