My SGPT valued up 232 which the doctor said that its to high. 1 week before the test we celebrated a graduation party of one of friend and got drunk for 5 days. Was the drinkng of alcohol ,the reaso why my SGPT level raised?.Is this one is dangerous?.how can make this one lower? thank you doc..
SGPT value of 232 is high. Yes, drinking alcohol for 5 days has caused this. No, it is not dangerous. Please relax. You must abstain from alcohol for this to be lowered. I would suggest you to avoid binge alcohol consumption, and may be have a drink or two occasionally. This will keep your SGPT value within normal range.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shanthi E., General & Family Physician
