What Does A Blemish On The Gums Above The Canine Tooth Indicate?
I have a small blemish on my gums above my left canine tooth. A small bubble, it popped with a small amount of blood followed by an amount of puss with applied pressure. Upon research I have noticed this could be a result of an abscessed tooth. I do have a large cavity on a molar on the same side of the mouth. Does this sound like the the cause??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain if you have a lump over the canine tooth that released blood and pus can be due to dental abscess while can also be due to localised gum infection leading to pus formation.. A lump over the canine tooth cannot be due to decayed molar as if it is due to molar it will be over the gum adjoining the molar only.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated.. You can be advised an x ray to rule out the exact cause of the lump.. In case of tooth infectionroot canal treatment of tooth can relieve the symptoms.. In case of gum infection scaling followed by gum paint application and antiseptic mouthwash gargles can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
