What Does A Blood Blister In The Inner Thigh Indicate?

Hello. I get blood blister on my inner thigh, have my whole life, and I recently tried to pop a rather big one. Unfortunately it popped inward and now the surrounding skin is red and painful. The pain has lowered a bit a day later but the red area seems to have gotten bigger. Should I be worried?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your symptoms it seems like you are having a congenital condition called capillary hemangioma. It’s a benign (harmless) clinical condition does not cause any problems. You can consult a vascular surgeon for further management and various treatment options, an MRI scan may be useful in this case.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.
