Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
5 days ago I had a bloody bowl movement. The next day I had another bloody bowel movement. So I went to my doctor, and he just told me sometimes that happens and it will go away. I told him that it might be diverticulitis and that I need antibiotics. Gee prescribed them for me and I ve been taking them since Tuesday. I m unable to have a bowl movement, (three days now). except for an occasional little hard nugget. I m bloated and in pain.
If you are having constipation with bloating and pain and not passing flatus then we need to examine your abdomen for obstruction, you need to get a CT abdomen contrast done to find out what really has happened, if not obstruction you might have gas in the abdomen which would have caused you this symptom. Get evaluated colonoscopically to find out what is the etiology of bloody stool. Don't neglect.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
