What Does A Blurred Spot In The Vision Indicate?

Last night I was at work and my I started to get a blurred spot in my upper left side of my vision. It was small at first, I started to think maybe I looked into the light too long. Then it got worse, and I could barely work. I went to an area where the lighting was better and it didn t help so I worked through it, and it was gone in 20 minutes. This was the second time this has happened at work, last time was about 6 months ago

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Seeing a blurred spot in vision could be due to some pathology in the vitreous humor. Vitreous humor is gel-like material which is present behind the lens.

I suggest you get a complete clinical assessment of the posterior chamber of the eye by an ophthalmologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
