What Does A Blurred Spot On The Tooth Indicate?

Went to dentist today and they saw a blurry dark spot on tooth 30. She said it looks like the tooth is cracked as well. When I googled I saw words tumor and cancer. I do have some cold and sweet sentivities in that area but not all the time. she is sending me to a ortho but now I'm concerned it is more.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have blurred spot on tooth which could be due to cracked tooth syndrome and due to abscess formation due to presence of infection near root tips and it's spreading.

I would suggest you to visit dentist once and get x-ray of tooth done and start treatment after proper diagnosis ruled out. If it is minor fracture then splinting can be done and if it is due to pulpal damage RCT of tooth is advised.

- Maintain oral hygiene and avoid excessive grinding activity.

- Avoid extreme rubbing of teeth while brushing.
