I ve a boil in my groin area..just near scrotum over left thigh since 5-6days....2 days back ,it develops a central red ,soft area of 0.3*0.3 cm surrouned by hard indurated area of 4*2cm. It started to pain 2days back...i consult a surgeon,he advised me tab.cefixime with tab.diclofenac.PLUS SU MAG OINTMENT DRESSING. The next day I applied lots of su mag and dressed it well.by the end of the day...my pain was gone BUT THE BOIL HAS A OPENING NOW. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW... .A.should I continue su mag dressing B.stop su mag dressing as the wound/boil is open now C.start Betadine dressing D.Go and consult the surgeon again....for further drainage.
