Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a bony nodule on the inside of my hand where my middle finger connects to my wrist. It has been there for a couple of years, without pain. Now it seems at times to be more sensitive to the touch than it had been in the past. I am age 63, otherwise in fairly good health.
I think it can be osteophytes. They are bone projections. Normally not important and don't cause symptoms. Now it may have caused inflammation around it.
You can use anti-inflammatory drugs such as Advil for pain and inflammation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
