What Does A Brownish Bump That Hurts On Contact Indicate?
my daughter has a small bump, looks like a pimple on her right should. We thought at first it was an insect bite, but 3 months later, it is still there, and now she says it starting to hurt when touched. It started out as a reddish color, but now looks sort of brown.
Brownish bump that hurts on the shoulder is commonly skin cysts, lipoma, wart, melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, etc. Your daughter is suggested to get it clinically examined. Untreated pimples, acne, skin cysts can cause complications like formation of abscess and infection.
Your daughter may need antibiotics and analgesics for faster relieve and healing. She may need to get it drained or surgically removed and treated. If she is an adult (you have not mentioned her age here) she can take acetaminophen or Combiflam, one SOS to get rid of the hurt she is experiencing. Do not allow her to scratch, pick or touch as infection from the nails can cause complications like septicemia.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
