What Does A Bruised And Swollen Vein On The Calf Indicate?
Hi Doc: my daughter (age 30, very fit and active) appears to have pop a vein in her calf. It is very bruised and swelled up but went down. Our family has a history of blood clots and her grandmother has factor 5. Should she go to the emergency room to check if it is a blood clot?

Yes deep vein thrombosis in calf should be ruled out in your case.
For that colour doppler USG should be done.
If breathing difficulty present than additionally echocardiography done
