What Does A Bump Above The Left Ear Indicate?

Same thing I have a bump above my left ear when I open my mouth it seems more pronounced where I can feel more of a big hard lump and feel fatigued even with 8 and half hours sleep also have a feeling of acid reflux and cannot seem to have a normal bm and noticed my eyes are more dilated... it seems like a serious symtoms of something worst than what I think ... I tried taking tylenol to relieve the pain and place and ice pack on the area where the bump is...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bump above the left ear . Well there can be many reasons for lump in ear like infection also known as otitis externa , cyst , swollen lymph node or hematoma from minor injury . The symptoms can also occur due allergic reaction due to some cosmetic products . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist . Doctor will examine with otoscope and order test like CT scan , MRI or x-ray to confirm diagnosis and rule out other causes . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin ) for at least 10 days , remove with the help of suction device or remove it surgically . For now keep your ear dry and apply dry warm compresses to lump and do not touch it again and again .
