Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandson broke three ribs during a soccer game. When to the ER and was released after the xrays. Most recent follow-up visit today indicated a bump on his chest and his doctor stated he would monitor the bump and a follow-up visit in a month. Is a bump normal or is that an indication of a more serious problem? Thank you, Concern Grandparents

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. The bump can be most likely a hematoma(blood clot). This will resolve slowly. There is nothing to worry. As you had x rays in hospital and discharged there is no lung injuries. Thanks.
