Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi there, after the past couple of weeks I have found a peculiar bump between the top of my front two teeth (on the gums) and a tiny flap of skin (almost feels like a lump) with white on the bottom of my right inner cheek. I was wondering if this is something to be concerned with?
As per your complain a bump on the gums between the top two front teeth can be due to causes like a gum boil or gum abscess caused due to infection deep into the gum pockets leading to pus formation and formation of an abscess.. Other common cause can be decay in tooth leading to pus formation below the root tips causing an abscess formation and at times the pus perforates the bone and gets accumulates in soft tissues and appears as a bump over the gums.. So my suggestion is to get it confirmed by consulting an Oral Physician and get evaluated and an x ray can further be helpful in diagnosis.. In case of gum infection scaling and a short course of antibiotics can help.. In case of tooth abscessroot canal treatment can help..
A skin flap on inner right cheek can be due to fibrous tissue overgrowth due to continuous irritation caused by either any sharp tooth cusp or cheek being habit.. It can be treated with surgical removal of the same..\
Hope your query is resolved..
Regards..
