Hi and thanks for posting your query..
Welcome to HCM and I am sorry to hear your medical concern.
I read your question completely and have understood it well.
I being a surgeon, have come across various such cases..
I would like to tell you various possibilities of that swelling.
1. Could be a
simple cyst, that develops due to heat or any infection
2. Sebaceous cyst, which is due to oil gland blockage
3.
Folliculitis, due to infection of a hair follicle.
Anyway, I suggest you these things..
1. Do not handle it with your hand, it may lead to further damage and infection
2. Start on
oral antibiotics. Amox clav 625mg twice a day for 5 to 7 days should be sufficient.
It will clear the infection existing.
3. Pain killers as per your need.
4. If it's sebaceous cyst, then you need excision because they are prone to recur.
Neosporin is a good idea but no ice.
And give some time for it to heal.
Most importantly friend, I advise you to be positive..
Hope this helps you, in case you need any further help. You can contact me, I am there to guide you.
Take care and God bless you.
