I have been told that I have a cyst or something on my pancreas that showed up on a CT scan. I had an MRI a few months later and was told it hadn t gotten any larger but my doctor still wants me to go to another facility for an endoscopic ultra sound. Should I be worried seeing as how it hasn t grown ??
Cyst in the pancreas to be evaluated. Some are actually noncancerous (benign) pockets of fluids lined with scar or inflammatory tissue, not the type of cells found in true cysts (pseudocysts). But some pancreatic cysts can be or can become cancerous.
Your doctor might take a sample of the pancreatic cyst fluid to determine if cancer cells are present. May need endoscopic ultrasound and CT abdomen. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
