Hi,

You should get it reviewed by a dermatologist and if needed a biopsy may be done, to look for cause of the infection. It can be cyst in hair follicles, or dermatofibroma etc but decision can be made based on examination. You shouldn't probe it yourself as it can contagious, and may spread to other skin parts, and it should be discussed with your primary care physician for the removal under guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
