What Does A Flap Of Skin On Wall Of Mouth Indicate?
I had a tonsillectomy almost three weeks ago. I also had a place on the right side that had to be cauterized again because of a heavy bleed from a blood vessel. It has been healing really nicely, and I have monitored my throat since then. I m not a doctor but the left side looks great, but the right side, at the bottom of my jaw toward my tonsils it looks like a flap of skin that appears to come off the side of the wall of my mouth and is touching the very back of my tongue. What has happened?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain a flap of skin that is coming off from the wall of the mouth touching the back of the tongue can be a peeled mucosa caused due to injury or conditions like injury with some hard food..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case if it is torn mucosa he can remove it under local anaesthesia..
You need not to worry as it does not seems as anything serious and can be very well removed..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
