What Does A Flat Red Splotchy Rash On The Feet Indicate?
My husband had developed a flat red splotchy rash on both feet and ankle/lower legs. the rash does not have blisters thus far and is not itchy. He was chilling sunday and Monday (Probably fever) he felt nasau and wanted to sleep. would a spider bite cause a rash of this nature? As far as we know he was not bitten but he felt something crawling on him in the night ; turned on the light saw a black widow and killed it.

Your husband had developed splotchy rash on both feet and ankle. It is not itchy. Black widow was crawling on the feet, he killed it. As far as you know your husband was not bitten by it. Your husband should wash the area with soap and water. Apply a cold washcloth or ice pack wrapped in cloth to the area for relief.
He can take a pain reliever, like Tylenol. It will help to relieve the symptoms. He can also take antihistamine to control the symptoms of allergy. Apply an antibiotic cream like Soframycin or Neosprin or Lacto calamine lotion to the area affected.
If the symptoms subside then he has not been bitten by the black widow but if the symptoms aggravate your husband should visit ER urgently, he may need to get antivenin. He may also need urgent medical support for the symptoms that may cause discomfort.
