What Does A Fluid Filled Bump On The Inner Thigh Indicate?
My 45 year old son has lymphadema and a huge tumor like fluid sack on his inner thigh(appears to be about 50 lbs)This throws off his balance and he is afraid of falling.Consequently he uses crutches to mobilize. He has a strong body odor about him even though he showers several times /day.He gains 40-50 lbs in about 2-3 days then with diuretics he will lose it but just regains it and is now exhibiting elevations in creatinine. The drs have been accusing him of eating/drinking too much.He doesn t. Their suggested solution has been bariatric surgery. They also say his weight scales must be off.......even though he has weighed in on their office scales. I need to find him some help ........someone who understands this excessive weight gain and will work him without accusing him of eating too much. Please tell me where to go to get him some help.I had suggested to the drs he was seeing ,.that he had spent 3 years in Navy and traveled all over the world.I read that some bug can enter your body, live there for 20 years, then die and clog your lymph system.....could he have picked up something like up ? The drs look at me like I m speaking in some SCI-FI language. I am at my wits end and my son is depressed and may lose his job because he cannot work consistently.Elaine Fenner RN laynie @cox,net
The fluid filled bump is due to lymphatic collection from underlying lymphatic drainage disorder. It is recommended that you consult with all reports, MRI or others in follow up session to figure out better guidelines ahead.
