What Does A Hard Knot At The Base Of Skull Indicate?

I ve had a headache for the past several days and last night decided to massage my neck to get some relief. In doing so, I discovered a hard knot at the base of the skull and to the right. It is tender if I press on it and appears to only move slightly. I ve not noticed this before. Any clue?

After physical examination give exact idea about lesion. ..
Consent a physician for further diagnosis. ..
If it is static swelling than fine needle aspiration helpful for diagnosis...
