What Does A Hard Lump On Head After Injury Indicate?

My boyfriend had an unfortunate event in his life and he headbutted a hollow wooden door but ever since he know has this 10 pence piece sized hard lump on his head its been there a good few months to a year. His petrified of going to the doctors as he doesnt take bad news very well so i wanted to find out alittle before maybe i can help him before he goes? Thank you.

This usually happens due to the soft tissue mechanical compression injury. Oozing of blood and inflammatory exudate accumulation leads to this kind of lumps.

But lesions of this kind easily go away within the time he has elapsed.

He still has it, so definitely he needs a thorough examination by the Physicians. He will help dissolve this lesion after carefully diagnosing whats inside. Don't worry it will go away with treatment. Sometimes needle aspiration does the job. And its a painless procedure.
