What Does A Hard Lump On The Left Side Of The Skull Indicate?

My 21 year old son has a hard lump on the left side of his skull. He says it doesn t hurt and he doesn t know how long it s been there. It feels like it s attached to the bone. The skin moves freely over it but the lump is firm and very hard like bone. Should I take him in to get this looked at?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is not the history of injury then such nonspecific swelling needs to be sent for CT of brain just to know the nature of swelling as a matter of fact such swelling demands the clinical examination for provisional diagnosis, you can keep the swelling under observation for any changes but most advisable to get done the clinical examination hope this information helps.
