hi i used to have anemia about a year ago. now i am all better, however, when i last checked my heart rate, it was in the 80s. i checked again today while sitting down cause i thought that the machines at walmart may be lying or i could of been a bit active before hand, however it still was in the 80s.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Regarding your concern, I would explain that these heart rate values are within the normal ranges and are not indicative of any serious medical disorder. Anyway, chronic anemia and dehydration could contribute in increase heart rate values. If your heart rate values increase, I would recommend checking your complete blood count for anemia and your blood electrolytes for possible imbalances. In the meantime, I would recommend taking plenty of fluids in order to avoid dehydration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
