What Does A Heterogeneous Lining In The Uterus Mean?

I have a history of retained products of conception and had a d&C with a uterus perforation and laporoscopy. I am still having uterine tenderness and my uterus has a lining of 3mm heterogeneous type 3 lining. What does this mean? They also thought they saw small echo genetic material.
