What Does A Large Bruise On Shin Indicate?

Hi I have a large bruise in the front and slightly right of my left leg on the shin area . It also is painful and has a lump on the upper edge . I m on plavix for my heart stents and was wondering if I should be watching this closer? I also have been experiencing some dizziness.

I appreciate your concern towards the safety of Plavix.

Plavix (clopidogrel) prevents the aggregation of platelets (clotting). It is used to prevent blood clots after a recent heart attack or stroke, and in people with certain disorders of the heart or blood vessels.
Because of this drug action (blood thinning), it can make it easier for you to bleed, even from a minor injury.
The large bruise and the painful lump is due to the bleeding causing hematoma.

Kindly consult your doctor for proper assessment and treatment of hematoma.
