Hello, I have a hard bone like mass behind my uvula and just wanted to know if this is something I should be concerned about. Any advice helps. My PCP is out of the office until next week and I will follow up then but am still very curious. Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Lump what you are having behind uvula needs to be examined to know the origin and it's extent by an ENT surgeon. According to examination findings and getting done other relavent investigations if necessary, appropriate treatment can be instituted. You may probably require surgical excision of the growth. Kindly consult ENT specialist in this regard for further evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided helps. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
