Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does A Lump Between The Shoulder And Elbow Indicate?
my 11 yr old son has a lump on left arm inbetween shoulder and elbow and another in left arm pit. hes in pain but tries to be strong. lump in arm pit has gotten smaller but arm has almost doubled in size. waiting on approval to get an mri scheduled should know a date by tomorrow. but bc its getting larger should i go to er
Something easier to do and that is generally done within the day and does not need much approval is an ultrasound of the lump. It will give a lot of information while you are waiting for the MRI. An xray of the arm will also help identify problems with the bone as well. So I would recommend you to talk with your doctor and order an xray and an ultrasound of the arm which will tell you a lot of information while you are waiting for the MRI.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
