What Does A Lump In The Armpit Indicate?
My son is 15 years old. Just a few days ago, after taking a shower, he felt a small bony lump under his armpit, just above the ribs. It is painless, and feels like a small, bony protrusion. It appeared suddenly, seemingly from one day to the next. Any idea what it can be?

Hello,
The mentioned symptoms suggestive of Benign bony tumour of rib most probably.
However digital X-ray of a local part should be done for deciding further workup.
Biopsy should be taken in such case which will reveal the exact diagnosis.
According to the cause-specific treatment given.
Mostly mass needs to be removed if it is a lump.
