WHAT IS IT THE LUM? HOW TO TREAT? HELLO, HAVE A LUMP IN MY GROIN AREA; STAYS SAME SIZE HAD IT FOR 3 MONTHS OR SO. HAVE DELT WITH EDEMA IN MY BODY ON WATER PILLS AND HAD IV DROP IN HOSPITAL DROPPED 50 LBS. REGAINED ABOUT 5 LBS. ALSO HAVE TYPE 2 DIABETES - UNDER CONTROL, TAKING NEDFORMIN BLOOD SUGAR AVERAGES ARIUND 100. THANKS FOR THE THOUGHTS. SCOTT

hi,
what is the consistency,size,is it mobile or not etc. points are very much important for any conclusion .so without proper examination and related investigations(biospy USG examinations etc), final conclusion can not be made.

however most common lump in groin region is that it could be enlarged inguinal lymphnodes.
lymphnodes are enlarged in response to local or systemics infections or due to reactivation.
some times ,other sited lymphnodes are also enlarged in response to systemic infection.
if there is local infection suspected, area drained by that particular lymphnodes should be examined in search of infection.
