Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump on the side of my throat that appeared two months ago. While going to the dentist I found out that I had an abcess molar tooth on the same side. The dentist suggested removing the tooth and clearing the abcess and lump with antibiotics. Two weeks later, tooth is fine but neck lunp remains. In the area of a swollen gland right underneath the jaw bone. what could this be?
After tooth extraction and after abscessdrainage and after completion of the antibiotic course if mass still persists, then FNAC can take for rule out nature of lesion over the jaw. According to FNAC report, further, workup planned.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
