What Does A Lump On Shoulder Blade Indicate?

My left shoulder has felt uncomfortable when moving all day. I have RA & that is not uncommon. Today it feels weak. My husband just noticed a large bulge under my shoulder blade. I is larger than my hand and it seems as if it is filled with water. No discolouration, not really painful just somewhat tight or uncomfortable.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I share your concern
Looking at your history this could be a lipoma a benign tumor of fat cells
if you can upload me a photograph I will be able to guide you better
in my opinion you should consult a general surgeon for examination and confirmation of diagnosis
it can be removed surgically and sent for histopathology to rule out malignant potential

Hope you will find my response helpful and informative
please don't hesitate to ask for more clarifications

wishing you good health
