What Does A Lump On The Base Of The Thumb Indicate?

I have a lump at the base of my thumb. Went to an orthapedic dr He looked at my x-rays and said he didn t think it was septic arthritis but it had dissolved some of bone. He ordered a complete body MRI to see if I had any more of these lumps and is sending me to another Dr. who will removed this and build the bone back up or whatever is necessary. Have you ever heard of this ?

Consult a physician and get evaluated. Most probably it will be a simple wart.

An MRI scan will be needed in case of diagnostic uncertainties.
