What Does A Lump On The Head After An Injury Indicate?
Hello my 23 month old baby fell off a top step at our local swimming centre that was around 3ft high. He hit straits into the hard concreat floor face first and has a large bump that is also squeshy. Why is this squeshy? And soft yet a large bump at the same time?

please be careful about the child as the first 72 hours the child has to be observed closely
danger signs in head injury are .
1 .more than 1 episode of vomitting
2 ear or nose or around eye bleed
3 vertigo
4 loss of unconsciousness or drowsiness
5 imbalance
6 convulsions
7 any abnormal physical or mental change within 72 hours ..
if any of these happens or has happened after head injury then please rush to emergency as urgent CT scan head has to be done
collection or swelling on head will decrease by itself and only painkillers as ibuprofen syrup 100 mg dose three times and antibiotic as amoxicillin are needed
