General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Sudden lump on inner thighs may be due to the friction of underwear's leading to blockade of sebaceous glands in the skin. Does the lump have a small opening at the center? Is it painful? Then it might be sebaceous cyst. Check the borders of the lump. If it's regular it's mostly a benign lesion. Also look out for any discharge from the swelling, if so it might get infected. Start antibiotics for it. If it constantly irritates and painful, then you can get it excised by a surgeon. Usually, day care surgery with local anesthesia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shakeel Khan
