What Does A Lump On The Left Breast Indicate?

I removed my bra this evening and discovered a large golf ball sized painful lump in my left breast. It was not there this morning and did not bother me during the day at all and I only noticed it when I removed my bra. I am 49 years old and my last mammogram was about 4 years ago I believe.

Hello,

A lump on left breast may be due to boil or antiboma, epithelial or acinar cell tumor et cetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your surgeon immediately, he/she will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
