I have a lump in between my legs its lipoma but I recent got jock itch and it got infected. Doctor gave me an antibiotic but tonigh I was placing a warm cloth on it and cleaning it when I squeezed it and a small greyish lump came out of the skin. It s about the size of a pebble. Do I need to visit the ER,or Just CLEAN IT AND SEE THE DOCTOR TOMORROW?

General Surgeon 's  Response
A lipoma is fat deposit, that is adipose tissue. It can get traumatized, especially if it is between the legs, and get infected. The best management is to surgically remove it. A surgeon will be able to do it usually under local anesthesia. The best time to operate is when the infection has resolved. The doctor can give you antibiotics to resolve the infection, and once this is controlled, it is best to get it surgically excised.
